Hee, dit topic had ik nog niet gezien Ik ben ooit (toen ik een jaar of 8 was) eens begonnen met blokfluit en heb dat zo'n 3 jaar volgehouden. Ik ben het ding inmiddels uit het oog verloren maar moet hem nog ergens hebben (al zou het ook heel goed kunnen dat mijn zusje hem geclaimd heeft, die speelt blokfluit en dwarsfluit). Toen ik 16 was ben ik begonnen met gitaar spelen. Ik heb nooit lessen genomen maar ben gewoon een beetje gaan aanrommelen met een goedkoop Stratje en een simpele 15 watt versterker. Stiekem wilde ik eigenlijk liever bas spelen maar dat leek me een saai instrument om in je eentje te bespelen. Twee jaar later kwam dan toch de eerste bas er. In mijn eerste (cover)bandje was ik gitarist, en nam af en toe mijn bas mee als de vaste bassist er niet bij kon zijn. Inmiddels is niet langer de bas maar de gitaar het ondergeschoven kindje en speel ik bijna alleen nog maar bas. In alle bands waarin ik daarna heb gespeeld was ik de bassist

Dan zou je de volgende Akerfeldt zijn K vind die Akerfeldt altijd een beetje erg overrated, net of hij de enige op de planeet is die zowel kan grunten en kan zingen, luister maar eens naar de volgende meneren: - Devin Townsend (waar niet van eigenlijk?) - Bjorn "speed" Strid (Soilwork) - Roland Johansson (ex-Sonic Syndicate) - Nathan J. Biggs (Sonic Syndicate) - Benjamin (Sybreed) - Christian Älvestam (ex Scar Symmetry) - Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch) en last but zeker weten niet least Stu Block van Into Eternity (die diepe grunts, screams, clean zang to high pitched power metal vocals in zn eentje doet) in de stroming van metal core en modern metal bands zitten zooooveel zangers die de twee uiterste combineren. Vele daarvan vind ik zelf vele malen beter dan Akerfeldt omdat ze vaak EN afwisselender zijn EN vele malen energieker op het podium (iets wat ik zelf wel erg belangrijk vindt altijd)

oh en weer even terug on topic: - enja, klinkt best geinig! Wist niet dat je in een bandje zat joh ik speel overigens gitaar, drums, doe wat clean zang en grunts, en daarnaast programmeer ik de synths in bij metatron

Ik moet mijn eerste post in dit topic toch helaas weer terugnemen. Sorry... ik bleek toch in het bezit van iets in de richting van muzikaliteit. Ben afgelopen zomer begonnen met het instrument wat ik al jaren als droom had om ooit eens te leren spelen. Een wonder geschiedde tijdens de proefles, het was mijn "ding" ook nog eens. Dus om alle gitaristen hier even een oogje uit te steken presenteer ik mijn schatje met maar liefst 34 snaren: Het spelen is heel erg fijn om te doen en ik raak met de dag meer vertrouwd met mijn vriendje .

Gaaf! Ik heb de harp altijd een prachtig instrument gevonden. Zelf roep ik al een paar jaar dat ik heel graag nog eens cello wil spelen, maar dat is er tot nog toe niet van gekomen en dat gaat ook nog wel even duren denk ik.

Doen! Jij hebt al wat muzikale achtergrond, ik ben vrijwel compleet blanco begonnen paar maanden geleden. Je zal het vast wel makkelijker leren als je al met muziek bezig bent. Zo absurd, ik kan nu noten lezen, wat simpele stukken spelen en ik ben nog lang niet klaar met alles wat ik nog wil gaan doen. Dat was een paar maanden geleden nog wel anders.

Hetfield is daarin zeker een held, rete strak en bruut stemgeluid alleen ging dit over dudes die clean zang en grunts combineerde ik zit er sinds een tijdje aan te denken maar weer eens een nieuw gitaar te kopen. Daarbij viel mn oog op gaat nog wel even duren denk ik, maar als je er eenmaal aan denkt he...

Een C7 Hellraiser? Nice! Dat wit staat hem ook een stuk mooier dan dat cherry vind ik, maar ik kan niet wennen aan die kitscherige over-the-top parelmoer purfling. Ik heb een keer op een linkshandige gespeeld maar kon niet echt vriendjes worden met die enorme hals, maar de klank was wel heel vet, zelfs met de .068 als laagste snaar, gestemd in A. Wat een monsters zijn dat zeg!

ik heb hier een jeff loomis sig. liggen in A met .060 als laagste ook gestemd in A . ik vind die honkbalknuppelhals juist heeeeerlijk, ik kan tegenwoordig juist weer moeilijk wennen aan smallere halsjes

Gisteren weer eens gerepeteerd met de linker van dit setje: Mijn (zeldzame) linkshandige Ibanez MC924's, links een 1983er en rechts een 1981er (leuk detail: die linker is maar een maandje jonger dan ik ). De '81 is op de duimsteun na nog helemaal origineel en in perfecte staat (de vorige eigenaar was de eerste eigenaar en had hem bijna 15 jaar onbespeeld in een koffer op zolder bewaard). De '83 is wel aardig doorleefd maar speelde nog perfect en klinkt ook weer te gek na wat werk aan de electronica (met dank aan Johan). Bij Annatar-optredens zul je me er niet zo gauw mee zien, ik kom beter uit de voeten met een vijfsnaar (en maakte gisteren wel wat foutjes omdat ik sommige noten nu ergens anders moest pakken . Maar bij repetities waag ik me er wel eens aan.

Mooi hoor! Ook leuk dat het een gitaar is met hetzelfde bouwjaar als dat van de speler. Ben van het weekend bij Sef geweest, tering... dat is een (bas)gitarencollectie waar je u tegen kunt zeggen

Het is zeker bizar, vooral omdat hij van iedere gitaar ook het verhaal weet. Maar wel super om te zien hoe gepassioneerd hij is als het om gitaren gaat.
